Hello all. I am glad I found this web site even if it looks like you are just getting started. I am currently in Charleston S.C and buying a house in winnoconee. You may ask why??? Well I did 26 yrs in the Marine Corps and then worked here for a year or so and decided why work to live when I can move back home and retire and enjoy living. I hope this site really gets going so I as well as the other users can share our experences in the outdoors. Cant wait to drop a line in fresh water its been years with living at the coast for the past 15+ years. Hope to see you on the water (ice) soon. Very Happy

Hi Welcome to the area.  You are going to like it here.  Thanks for the compliments on the site.  We've been around for about 9 years but are going through a bunch of updating and new stuff thanks to a new partner/graphic artist.  I'm an outdoor writer, but no graphic artist.  Once we get a handle on all the content I'll have video, podcasts, great area links and more to help you learn the area.  Feel free to be in contact.  Hopefully you'll be here in March for Ice Breaker 3.  It's a fishing sports show about the area that is going to be held in Winneconne at Critters Sports March 8 & 9, 2008.

Sled head sorry for the late responce but with the holidays my life has been crazy along with everyone else.  I moved most of my stuff up their over the holidays but headed back south until we sell this house.  That will gappen soon I hope.  Did enjoy the snow even though all I did was work.  The wife will be moving in Feb leaving me behind to enjoy the early spring and then hot summer.  That only means more time to fish after work.  Oh so sad for me.  Hope to see you all on the water soon.
